Kalathappam, particularly Kannur and Kasaragod, Kalthappa by Mangalore’s Beary Muslims, is a North Malabar. It is a rice cake or delicacy made of rice, water, coconut oil, sugar, fried onions or shallots, coconut flakes, cardamom powder.
